front backspace help

I have a 67 Camaro and bought a set of wheels that fit perfect until i put a disc conversion on it now the wheels are hitting the fenders instead of tucking under. Can someone give me the backspace for this problem. The conversion pushes the wheel out 1/8 inch.

What size wheels/tires do you have right now?

goob8869 03-15-2009 11:18 PM

17x8 but I am going with 19x8 on the new wheels

4.75" - 5" bs is what we all use on an 8" wheel...I prefer 5" bs and a 245 tire.

I would see what your current bs is and go from there.

they are 4.75 with a 245 tire

Does the car have a good alignment? Those should work. Is the car lowered? What suspension are you using?

Be careful of overall height on those 19" tires, if you make the tires to tall, they will rub.

You 4.75 should work fine. You need a alignment

The car is lowered and I am running QA1s with tubular a arms. What profile should I run with the 19"wheel, and should I reorder 4.75 or go with 4.87 to be on the safe side. The car does need to be aligned since I put on the a-arms. Thanks for the help

There is a lot to it. I will need to know what rear set up you want to run so I can find a set of tires that have the sizes, aspect, bulge we need in the same brand

Just call me. It is way easier to talk then type.
