Tranmission temp gauge (info wanted for towing)

I am looking for some info for a buddy that just got a pull behind camper and wants to install a temp gauge in his 2003 Tahoe. I was wondering who makes a nice set up for a tahoe? My next ? is he says his truck has a towing package but I wanna ask anyways does a T/P include a transmission cool from the factory??? Thanks guys

I don't know of any aftermarket companies that make one. I have heard of people using escalade or seirra c3 cluster with the factory trans temp. They say the vehicle's without a factory trans temp have the sensor and wiring just need the gauge in the cluster. I maybe wrong though. The tow package come's with a cooler right behind the grill.

He is right, you can use a factory gauge cluster with the factory transmission temperature gauge. The sensor is installed in all GM transmissions, but it is only used for a light in the dash for most. You can buy them on ebay already programed for your car. As for the transmission cooler, if he doesn't have one, $70 for the factory one with pre-bent lines I think.
