Dually brake update?
Anyone know if there is a brake update for a GM 3500 dually??? This thing goes through brake like crazy!!!!!! I wonder why???
|
I owuld think it goes through brakes so fast because of the wheels. my .02

As far as i know you can get like drilled/slotted rotors and better pads. The wheels are why you tripled the rotating mass making it harder for it to stop.

All fixed SSBC had a caliper upgrade for it. It was a little pricey. But I think this will fix the problem .... I new it was because of the tires guys Thanx!!!!!!

What did you end up doing for brakes? I have been thinking of doing some on my Chevy Dually. here is minehttp://www.gforcedesignconcepts.com/...s/IMG_2360.jpg |
Jason I purchased a upgrade kit from SSBC . Bigger calipers, drilled rotors same size as whats on there but just drilled... I did'nt have a problem with the rears just upgraded the pads with a bus application front and back. I also used my TECH-2 to pulse the brakes also was a big help .. I took some pics as soon as my camaera gets back from repair I'll send them to ya...
