C5 e-brake what are you guys doing?
 

I have a C5 vette brakes front and rear with slotted rotors and was wondering what you guys are doing for e brakes??? This is on a 1972 chevelle with a 12 bolt. Pictures would be GREAT but any help would be nice. (yes I know Kore3 makes a setup but not in budget right now) (also do not wanna buy another set of rotors to do ls1 rear brakes). Thanks for any help you can give guys. Brandon

Since they use the drum in rotor style your kinda stuck buying or getting a used one off a corvette and rigging up the mount.ssbc has a small little caliper that is a e brake could try to buy one off them.Or use a line lock on the rear brake line don't know how safe it would be tho.

You can order their brackets w. internal parking brake mechanism without purchasing rotors pads and calipers you already have. I purchased this set up for my c6 zo6 calipers/rotors and it works great. The design is really slick and looks great. IMO its the cleanest option retaining the brake internally like gm intenteded. No need for an additional caliper for the parking brake or adding one to the pinion yoke. -Andrew

So it's $750 for just the parking brake stuff?

Do you have a pic of where it bolts to?

The parking brake assembly bolts up to this bracket, which is also the caliper mounting bracket.

How about using LS1 f-body setup in the rear. Its a bolt on deal. Mine is C6 front Fbody rear.

That is an option but for those of us with staggered shocks the brackets have to be modified to stagger the calipers. Staggered shocks also require using two left hand calipers. I had LT1 calipers before with the internal parking brake that have the reputation to stick. Mine never did but they didn't stay on my car long enough I guess.

He said it was a Chevelle so there are no staggered shocks to deal with. I think all I did was flip side to side to get a forward pull.
