type 2 pump convert to AN fitting?
1 Attachment(s)
I have a type 2 pump that came with my March pulley set up, Is it possible to convert this to a AN fitting on the return side? Or can I twist the pipe with out making it leak?

you need to make it press in, get the a.n fitting and turn it down so its a press fit, apply some loc tight and press in, good to go

usually a # 8 or 10, get a an to pipe, then turn down threads smooth, to press fit, some loc tite and press in. remove existing tube and mic the opening, then see what size npt is just larger then it, so it can be turned down to work, #10 is most common
those pumps are 87 sunbird pumps that come with the march set ups. |
Thanks Jake, do I need to do anything special to remove the tube? or just yank it out,
|
just twist and yank.

I put a wrench on mine to break loose the loctite and pulled it out...then I used red loctite and hammered it back in at the right angle. That press in AN fitting looks perfect.
