69 Camaro Rearend
I have a 69 Camaro with a 9" Ford rearend w/ disk brakes
I want to run 20x10 w/ a 4" backspace Can someone give me the measurement of length for this rearend to be cut down too Would that measurement be from outside rotor to rotor? Thanks |
I would strongly recommend getting the wheels built the way you want and then mock them up in the car at ride height with tires on them and measure mounting pad to mounting pad to determine your rearend width. Way simpler and far more accurate.

Build the wheels first and put them under the car and get your measurements, then cut your rear end. This way it will be right the first time

Couldn't agree with these guys more. Never take someones "word" for it.
You could make this fun and have everyone guess to see who gets the closest! I'll take a guess at 52", but again, don't take my word for it. |
I recently put a Moser in a Chevelle, and it was offset to the passenger side 1/2" .
If I would of had the wheels before the rear, and they were tight in the wheelwells, this could of been a problem. I'm not sure if Moser builds them this way on purpose, or if the rear end can be requested to be built centered. |
Thanks for the replies
I agree wheels first I have a rearend that is 51 1/2" and just wanted to know how close it would be of fitting Thanks again |
Aaron a starting point would be around 55.750 axle flande to axle flange If you use a brake rotor about .3125 thick. Always mes. twice & order rear end once.
