? About Fuel Injector Sizing

Can you get away with runing a larger fuel injector on an engine with an aftermarket computer such as the Accel Gen 7? I dont want to have to buy another set of injectors later as the motor gets upgraded.

I've run that size and quite a bit larger without issue with FAST and BS3. Actually, we ran 75's with the Gen VII setup on a procharged small block and it was fine.

You can run into resolution issues where idle can get funky as an injector gets sporadic when you try to get the pulse width too small, but I've never had that issue. All of mine, even with 95's have idled just fine.

Injector Sizing : Batch vs Sequential

For the correct answer, FIRST ask "How many times will I fire the injector per cycle" ?

The low grade system will fire the injector each crankshaft revolution, BAD for 75's.

A better grade EMS ('882, BS-3, etc.) can fire the injector ONCE per cycle (two crank revolutions) GREAT for 75's.
