I assume that you have connected your TV and the HDMI-cable from the monitor output socket on the computer. That socket doesn't have any audio.

You have to use a AV-cable to the TV and connect it to your headphone socket onthe computer.

We just did this last weekend. HDMI port on the Laptop to HDMI on the TV. We had the same problem with the sound . We had to reload the sound drivers to make it work. Control panel, devices manager, sound drivers, update driver. Also, we were using Vista. Good Luck!

Buy an Apple Mac --- and you'll never have these issues again!

A driver is something behind the wheel of an automobile isn't it??

LOL

Hope you get 'er all straightened out.

As an Apple user myself I forgot to say that. I have a Mac Mini with DVI->HDMI for my TV. Sound goes over AV-cables. Works great!

yeah guess its not possible you would think that people who get paid millions in designing in programming would figure out how to make it send audio as well as video.

The HDMI supports sound. But it you pull the video from your monitorsocket you will not have any audio because the monitorsocket don't have audio, only video.

I foresee that TV's and computers will be more integrated and that a TV-set will get ints content over the web. It is technically possible but the big TV-companies don't want that because they would be out of business very soon.

A Web-TV would make it possible to see any show from anywhere. They only have to find a way of getting paid.
