Hello!

New guy here. Just finishing up on my 88 IROCZ project. Not much special, it is going to be my daily driver.

However, sitting in the drive waiting for the camaro to get out of the way is the big project ,

1967 Firebird Convertible. This is going to be a full on build. Some sheetmetal replacement, suspension mods, etc...

It will be built to drive. Gonna mini tub it, run some 17"x8"s and 17x11"s

Engine choice is a little different. I wanted EFI, and was thinking about an LS1 swap, but everyones doing that these days. Didn't want to cop out and throw a SBC in it, so I kept looking around at other engines, trying to stay pontiac.

Then it hit me, I noticed the emblem on the hood that said 3.8litre.

Wait, I remember a firebird a couple years back with a hot 3.8 in it. The 89 Pace CAr, with the 3.8 GN turbo.

So, thats what she is getting. I figure the lighter weight will really help out the balance of the car as well.

The actual project will likely start this winter, with a lot of dissasmebley, clean, rust repair to start things off with!

Sounds like a GREAT project! It's a Pontiac and what could be better? :hail: :D I saw a nice red '67 convertible yesterday with a black top. Dang it sure looked good! That 3.8 turbo should kick some butt, those are nice engines. ;)

Glad you guys like the idea! I was afraid people would say, its a waste, just throw an ls1 in there and be done with it!
