Corbeau seats?
Anyone have any experience with them? Thinking about getting a pair for my 80 SE Trans Am. I have been looking at the CR1's, but the GTS II are a little cheaper and look more original.
Tell me what you guys have and how they feel. If anyone lives in South Houston and could take me for a ride around the block in some, it would be great! Plan on doing drag racing and a little bit of road racing. I want something really comfortable like GTO seats, but I want to feel strapped to the car when need be. |
I have the FX1 Pro seats in my mustang and I love them! Excellent side bolstering and just enough cushion to keep you comfortable for a couple of hours. Any more than that then they might get a little uncomfortable.

Plenty comfy. You do sit in them. Nice bolsters. I would buy them again. Mike https://lateral-g.net/members/holleman/ |
I have the Legacy seats... the only problem is the same problem i have with most things... they don't fit quite right.
The shoulders aren't wide enough for the seat. The rest of me fits fine, the shoulders... not so much. I have the same issue when i buy a suit, i can't find a pair of pants to fit the jacket. Corbeau's are nice seats, you can't go wrong. |
I have the GTS II, had the side bolsters shaved down a little, cause I am a little rounder. Jut did a 2 1/2 hour drive in them and no problems.

I have a GTS II for an office chair for 3 plus years and it is still comfortable and has quite a bit of side bolsters. They are very comfortable. They clean up easy and hold up quite well. They are pretty classicly styled and Priced really well. I have 4 corbeau seats in my office and I sell these seats 4 to 1 over any others. Let me know if you need some pricing.

I had the GTS II seats in a 69 Camaro. I thought they were fine when I had them. They do sit up higher than others, if you're tall that can be an issue. On mine I cut and rewelded the brackets to get them as low as possible, and removed the sliders, and my head still almost hit the headliner. I'm pretty tall though.
I've since gone to Recaros and realized immediately how much better they were (of course they're also more money). Plus, I could use unaltered brackets, and the sliders and still had more head clearance than the Corbeaus. Jody |
