68 camaro real wheelwell questions
Please roll them now and make sure the edge is curled away from tire. Realize that on the Camaro with leaf springs that as the rear spring moves up the rear tire moves forward and up, not just up like many would think just looking at the car. If you stuff a tall tire in there that is not all the way inside the wheelwell lip it will catch the lip at 9 o'clock position when looking at the drivers side. You would think that the lip is flat and easy to roll but it is not easy to do after the fact and it will not roll all the way up without causing some damage. I did DS minitubs and offset billet spring shackles and was still very sorry that I did not have them tucked up and rolled in to not have any edge to grab a tire. Had plenty of clearance while sitting still and moving the car through all the travel but get out into real life driving, people in back, off camber roadways and a tire grabbed an edge and $3,000 later we have learned our lesson.
