Well I got to do what I've only been dreaming of for the past 2 years.... Drive the car!!!

Initial impressions are fantastic! It does everything I thought it would and more. All the parts really seem to compliment each other and with some adjustment, debugging, and seat time, I doubt you'll be able to wipe the smile off my face.

Now, I only have about 20+ miles of test time on some wonderful Jersey roads, but I am very happy with ride quality, handling, braking, engine responsiveness, and power.

Still have some minor things to work on like getting the hood painted, but she's a driver and want to thank some friends for all their help.

I agree. Car looks really good.
How's that 540? That must move that car pretty good huh??:wow:

Thanks guys!

Yeah, the 540 is a real motivator. I haven't even really gotten on it yet, but did manage to leave rubber in 3 gears with 1/2 throttle. Very torquey, but surprizingly well mannered. The smaller 315 CC Dart heads and cam choice are the real key factors I think.

Congrats on getting it on the road! That is a really nice looking car!
I am jealous, mine is still a couple of years from that point. Every time I see another one hit the road it motivates me to get back to work on my own project.
I imagine that big block is good for some serious fun. Nice work!

Cool Rob!

Where in Dirty Jersey are you?!?

Nice Ride!!

Great to see another Jersey car on the board. I'm born and raised in NJ but no longer live there. There's a lot of nice roads to take that beauty on. Had it down the shore yet?

After you break her in, you should take the Camaro to Raceway Park and see what she'll run.

You obviously haven't been back here in a loooong time. Nice Jersey roads?? Only kidding.

Haven't been down the shore yet, but plan to, and I'm in Old Bridge, so it will see some RP 1/4 time before they throw me out.

That is a *seriously* cool ride. You have a right to be proud of yourself, and everyone else, that made it come to life.

I hope you enjoy it, and keep it safe! Can't wait to see pictures of it with the hood painted.

I'm working on getting mine running again. I blew both head gasgets a week ago but should have it running again tomorrow. (Dumb me didn't retorque the head bolts after warming it up a few times. Lesson learned.)

'Grats again!

Now if it would just stop raining for a day, maybe I could do some driving!

Here's my favorite so far.
