Thats what im doing on my hot rod shaving the locks and keeping the handles but its a 1948and the handles are sooooo cool and i needed to leave a lil chrome down the side of the car being i removed most of the other trim.

I will also be shaving the lock/filling the button hole on the handle.
I'm gonna have door poppers with an emergency manual opener in case something goes wrong. John |
Just use a power lock setup and a decent alarm system that will remotely lock and unlock the doors. As a safety, I think I might hide a set of contacts for each door lock motor somewhere under the hood so that, if the alarm were to fail, you could unlock the doors.
Shiny Side Up! Bill |
I also shaved the door and trunk locks.
kept door handles on it though. |
