Taillight tinting in NC?
I recently purchase a 2004 Cadillac CTS-V. The headlights have the typical roughness and fading at the top. I am looking for someone to refinish these and also apply a light tint to the clear coat.
I would also like to have my taillights, 3rd brake light, side markers and driving/fog lights tinted. I am not interested in using the film type of tint, I have gone down this road and it just doesn't give the glossy appearance of a painted finish. I am also interested in having the chrome badging tinted also to provide a black chrome like finish. Any help would be appreciated. As you can see with the amount of work I would like done I don't want to trust it to someone that isn't experienced in doing this. |
wow man, I could do that for 30 buck plus cost of materials and there's no way you could tell if a paint and body shop did it or not.
Here's what you need - http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku and a nice clear coat, like duplicolor, I believe they sell it in acrylic enamel Take it to a smaller body shop and they'll charge you through the nose of course, but the big guys usually won't do stuff like this |

Have you done this before and have any suggestions? |
Is ez to DIY...
http://volvospeed.com/Mods/tinting_v...ade_imron.html VHT Nite Shade Is ez to do, if your afraid you will mess it up, run by lowes/home depot buy some plexiglass and practice spraying it and then clean it off. As for application of the tint, you tape off and protect the paint/car or remove them like the link shows. |
