DSE Backspacing

He guys what backspacing works with the DSE Mini tub Kit? I want to run a 315/35/17 out back on either a 17x10 or 17x11. Up front I am going to run a 245/45/17 on a 17x8 should I run 5 or 4.5 bs? This is going to be on a 74 gto aka nova/ventura style.
Thanks
Rob

If your going to run a full width rear, a 7" backspace on the 11" wheel should be perfect.

Yup I want to keep a full lenght rear. I just am curiours 5 inch bs on the front should be ok on a 8 inch wheel.

5" would be fine on the front.

Im running 17x8 on the front with 5 1/4 BS. Its pretty close to my extended tie rod ends, so 5 1/8 would be perfect. You will want close to 5 to get the outside of the tire away from the fender while turning. Running SC&C uppers, extra tall upper ball joint, stock spindles, and 98-02 Camaro LS1 brakes.

On the rear I have 17x11 with 7 3/4 BS with a stock width 12 bolt and disc brakes. Fits perfect with room to tuck the tires and have plenty of room on the backside too. 7" BS would rub the inner fender well on my particular car.
Setup is Caltrac split mono's with S-10 11" discs.

Awsome just who I was looking for a nova guy, so I have to do a 7.75 bs cause it will rub, I will be trimming the wheel wells ao i might gain a 1/2 inch of clearance. I want to order my rims soon so in 12 weeks I can have them

Ok so after thinking about the backspacing, I think I will go with a 7.5 or is that cuttinh it too close I want to order my rims asap.:hail:

You always better off measuring your car rather than relying off internet info. I wanted my wheels tucked up into the fender so the top of the wheel is level with the quarter lip. Also you are usually better off with more backspacing then using a small spacer to adjust if perfect.
All I can tell you is that 7.75 fits perfect on my car.

I was just about to say that is what we've run in the past and have had work very well too. 7.75 is the magic number. Good luck with your wheels.
