Longer than stock wheel studs?
I have found a few vendors that make aftermarket studs but they all seem to be 2 7/8" or 3" long. My stockers are 1 1/4" long and I don't quite have enough bite for my liking with my Fikse's. I would like to get a 1 3/4" or 2" studs. Anybody seen any around that are a little shorter? I suppose I could always cut down some 3" ones.

Cutting down 3" studs is what you will have to do. You have to make sure you get the currect knurl size. You need to knock out one of your current studs and measure the knurl.

You can get them in 2.5's. I just put a set in the front. With an open lug nut they are just fine. ARP and Moser both make them.

What's the application? If you currently have the 7/16-20 OE type studs, you might consider the Dorman 610-157 overlength replacement stud. It has a 2-1/8" under head length.
Otherwise there are several 1/2-20 and M12x1.5 options through both OE replacement and aftermarket avenues that are not as long as the "race" studs...or you can cut those down too like Frank suggested. Tobin KORE3 |
Dorman makes the studs in 1.75" length. The application is 1980 and up Corvette studs. Local parts store should have them in stock
I had the same concern when I installed my rims. Here is the link for the part number and specs https://www.dormanproducts.com/cgi-b...tegory_list=:0 |
