Shaved gas door

I know I just posted this in the body/paint tech section, but I wanted to make sure people see it....sorry.

I am shaving the gas door on my '66 Nova and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. The body shop that I am using mentioned Hagan flush mount pop up style, he also mentioned motorcycle gas doors. I really like the ones that KillerKustoms did in the tail light like the 1956 Chevys.

The main thing is the car is completely shaved and I want it to be as stealth as possible.

Any help would be appreciated.....Thanks in advance.

Well, a sportbike filler looks cool and aggressive, but it isn't exactly stealth but it looks way cooler than the old twist off stock unit and the Hagan flip up style is a little too street rod for me and the hidden 56 unit is just right. Out of sight and out of mind but the most time consuming and costly option. Personally, I would go sportbike/racecar style. Air Ride even sells them www.ridetech.com

Keep us posted!

Thanks Jason for your ideas. I like the cool cap from Air Ride. The builder moved the gas door up on top of the quarter panel for the CES show back in 2005. He fabricated a square flush mount one that was painted to match the car. He did not want to use the old one, so he was thinking about a flush pop up style that could painted.

If we can't come up with a flush pop up style and/or the 56 style is too much for him....then I will get the cool cap.
