Bare metal protection?

IF I get to keep my current Camaro, it was in line for the body work/paint to be done. I started on the prep work myself in some areas, my question is this. How do you protect a car that has been stripped to bare metal? How do I prevent surface rust and the like? I have not stripped the car yet, and I haven't really decided if I want to or not. It doesn't NEED it per say but I feel more comfortable doing it, if it will give me the awesome paint results I want.

Thanks
Marcus

http://www.picklex20.com/ (never used it, but seen it used).....or get some rattle cans of epoxy or etch just to protect sections until you are ready for body work. Sand off the rattle canned on stuff when you take her to the shop.

Gibbs Was recommended to me by Bob Walden, One of the best sheetshapers in the country. The only place to get it is online. It ha sno Silicone in it so it will not give you grief like WD40.

I just bought 12 cans to save on shipping.

Gibbs is great, I have used it and DSE uses it as well, But for something that will sit for more then a few weeks just rattle can a light coat on then it good for awhile, and you dont have to worry about re applying it.
