Kustom Shop Paint??

Been thinking about trying to at least paint my engine bay in my 89 Iroc. Has any one used Kustom Shop paint??? I would post a pic but it would scare everyone off...

Thanks

I've used the semi-flat black and it works really well. single stage is easy to use and the gloss is consistant.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, How hard is it to work with the BC/CC system?? I have been thinking of this type or a single stage type..Unsure of what would be involved, this would be the first attempt at paint work.. So something that would work good, long durability, and somewhat easy to apply are determining factor's. My color choice would be inferno orange in BC/CC...

The truth is that a base/clear system is far easier to use; it gives you the opportunity to take your time between stages and the time between coats and stages to step back and look at your progress and work without the pressure of the recoat windows of a singe stage system. It much easier to repair a base-clear as well if you ever have to. unless you opt for a three stage candy, which you're not suggesting with that orange color. The biggest obsticle with painting on a hobby level is getting the proper air delivery and finding an environment ( or making one) that is suitable for painting. These things arent difficult, just somewhat expensive for a good compressor and drying equipment, and time comsuming for all the prop to get a garage and vehicle ready for paint. I've coached hundreds of guys through their first paint job and can help if you need it. I'm not gonna pimp the DVDs on here out of respect for the forum. PM me if you want info on them. Otherwise we can exchange info and opinions right here.

I believe I just bought a few of these DVDs if they are the ones Eastwood sells. I think they are excellent, much better that a book or magazine.
