69 Chevelle Protour/street Hey all I'm new around here. Just picked up my Chevelle about 3 months ago. Motor is a 454, TH350 w/ 3500 stall, Ford 9" full spool. Not sure on motor specs yet (got a nasty cam). Guy I got it off of didn't know. Its got a ladder bar set up in the back. I'm taking it to Crusin the Coast in MS this Oct as is but once I get back I'll start tearing into it. Plans are for a full rebuild of the 454 and add a blowthru set up on it, update suspension (front and rear), redo cage set-up....basically alot to do. I'll keep it posted. Let me know what you all think. Not a bad starting point IMO..especially for what I got it for! http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...t/100_0789.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...100_0791-1.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...t/100_0795.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...t/IMG_1550.jpg |

Great looking car! Good luck with the 'transformation' |

Looks like a nice clean car. Are you going to tear it down and start from scratch? GOOD LUCK!! |

Well the plan is to pull the body off the frame, redo the back half (its an old job). The body itself is in good shape but I have found a few typical spots that rust on Chevelle's. I'm going to go with the same color scheme but I'm updating the wheels with some 18's. I think I'm going to go with some black w/ chrome lips. Should set off the green color. Look militaryish. |
