9" width

I'm putting a 9" Ford rear under a 65 Nova PT car. I bought a bare housing off Ebay and I need to know the distance from the axle flange to the housing flange. I have a wheel-to-wheel distance but I have no axles for mock-up. Can anybody help me here?

I would have to measure mine to be sure, but I think it adds about 5" to the total measurement (2.5" per side). I seem to recall there being some small variations and you may want to call whoever you were going to get to buy your axles from to be sure.
