Vehicle Insurance During Restoration
My 6 month insurance premiums are coming due in October, so I called State Farm to ask about insuring my car during the restoration. They are telling me that they can only cover my car after the restoration is finished. Anyone have any suggestions on other insurance companies that specialize in restorations? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Todd. I just gave them a call and they were extremely helpful. They quoted me $150/yr for $20K in coverage. Now I need to figure out how much I have in this thing to date.

Good deal...

you also can just keep it insured normaly and just drop the liability on the car and comp is normally cheap.just be sure to keep all reciepts and records this is the only way to cover your azz. somtimes you just need to keep some of the details away from the insurence co.telling someone that knows nothing about cars that you are going to pull a car completely apart kind of freaks them out.

Insurance
I was told by my State Farm agent that my restoration in my own garage is not covered. They insure complete cars and not parts. If it is in a shop they should have the coverage for any damages in whatever state of restoration the vehicle is under. Just be sure to ask them for a copy of their coverage. If they are hesistant about providing it to you, get yourself and the car outta there! If they carry the right coverage they would be happy to provide it to you.
