Narrowing rear end

I have a 9 inch in my car currently. Its a pro street car I want to make into a modern pro street style car. To fit the rear wheels I want the rear end needs to be about 3 inches narrower on each side. What does that generally cost? Anyone in central Texas that can do it?

Im in Harlingen TX. I have a few friends that can do it some where between $200-$300 and doesnt take to long. I think about a day or 2.
