nudder' new guy

Hello group, new from indiana. Been away from car projects for a while. Started with a '79 Firebird, got it home and then it had title issues that the seller could not work out so my son and I are looking for another sec. gen project. I have a couple of donovan aluminum blocks left over from sprint car racing but we are interested in learning more about LSX engines so may leave the small blocks on the self. Besides surfing the internet where can we find published material that will educate us on LSX engines? We are going on a rotissere with whatever project we go with as we don't want surprises later. This is an awesome site. Thanks. Kevin

welcome Kevin. For pure knowledge of the differences and a ton of swap info I'd say check out http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/

There are a few good books out on the LS engines. Both gen III and IV.
Some specific to rebuilding and some specific to swapping into older chassis. Barnes and Nobel, Borders both carry them in the automotive sections.

As Jody suggested look at ls1tech.com and read up on some of the projects here.

Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome guys. As far as the racing, many stories and many states. I can assure you that I still remember a lot of them every time I get out of bed in the morning, these old bones were put to the limit. I ordered a book from Summit that will get me started on learning LS engines. In my day job I'm in a lot of hotels but don't always have internet so something to read is helpful. Kevin
