Silverado enigine

Has anyone had any experience with engine mods to the 5.3 Chevy vortec engine I would like to push my HP over the 400 mark but I don't want to do anything to crazy like bore it out any thoughts or ideas?

Chevy High Performance did a build on one with a stock bottom end (except it had factory 4.8 pistons) the got 490hp out of it. I think it is the motor going in track rat. Ask Steve Rupp about it.:cheers:
