Centerford DFX question

Does anybody have experience with this clutch. I will be running a 600hp/600tq big block. I've read that some advise not to use unless necessary.

Thanks in advance

My dual friction is still taking a beating and doing well. I run race rubber all the time so it hooks! I don't remember you intended application. If it's drag slicks and high rpm launches then I'd go with a different clutch than the dual friction. Otherwise mines been fine for 3250 miles, 3 autocrosses, and a road race. What does Centerforce recommend? Is the car mini tubbed?

Todd, my combo is very similar to yours. I'm running a 498 with 310cc darts, hydraulic roller and 9.5-1 compression. My guess in hp is somewhere around 600. It is minitubbed but I'm only running a 295/18 kdw. Basically I just dont want to buy twice if I can help it. I also looked at the centerforce df with the 12in clutch. I have to find out if the 12 in will fit in my lakewood bellhousing.

I don't think you will get enough traction with those tires to worry about it much.

I think you're right. I plan on notching the frame rails and running a 335 this winter. If your setup is working I think it'll translate to my setup.

Even if you do change to 335mm I still don't think you will have a problem on street tires. My advice would be to save the money on a wider wheel and get a stickier tire for your current rims. If you just want the look then forget about what I said, if it's performance you're after then I'd got to a sticky tire and the 295 will match up to your 245/255mm better. If you do decide to go to a 335 then I'd still run the sticky tire.

I have the 12inch centerforce and fits my lakewood housing fine. Call Frank @ prodigy he will get you as good a deal as anyone and answer setup questions.
