Shop Management Software
what are you guys using for invoicing etc. At work I use Mitchell, but I need something for my home shop that isn't overpriced or have a monthly subscription- Chris

We had one years ago. Her name was Sheryl. But as for the overpriced part....well you get the idea. And reliability was also an issue.

Hey Chris - I agree that Quickbooks is pretty simple to use and not overly expensive. Are you trying to track time and materials or just tracking invoicing? Just curious. I'm always looking for better ways to keep track of expenses on projects.

I have quick books, but the invoicing for cars doesn't allow me to separate parts and labor or enter car info. I love the Michell program I use at work. I can store "canned" jobs which allow me to hit one button that adds parts and labor on a particular job, very slick.
everything I've seen online for sale is old school. For reports I just need Parts/ Labor breakdown. Thanks- Chris |
Quickbooks will allow you to separate, You just have to create the labor or parts codes you want. I have line item for labor split up by employees so I can track how many hours they work each year. Quickbooks will a million things you just have to figure out how to set it up.
