PRI invite and HEMI 6.1 update
6 Attachment(s)
Hi everybody,
I wanted to invite all of you that might be attending the Performance Racing Industry show if Orlando Fl next week to stop by our booth (#4154) and check out the latest manifolds from Precision Metalcraft. Also the first 6.1 Hemi manifold is finaly complete and will be out for testing right after the show. The first 3 pics are of the HEMI, the next 3 are misc. projects. Thank you to all of the lateral-G Members for all of your support this year! Jeff Davis |
Sweet.

i cant wait for that hemi manifold to come out. any idea on a price range? also, what is the canister on the back of the manifold for? pcv/catch can perhaps?
in any case, it looks great and ill definitely be considering this in the future. edit: are there provisions for vacuum fittings and a map sensor? if i were to put this into a late model challenger, those would be necessary to get it up and running. |
Sweet........ Jeff it looks awesome..... so what was the end result of the overall height compared to the stock manifold etc etc ??I know we talked alot about keeping it as short as possible (at least as short as stock) but still having it perform well.
On my Cuda we did end up channleling the k-frame up into the stock frame so hood clearence is gonna be abit tighter for me... I'm sure Jeff will chime in, but I believe the "can" at the back takes the place of the oil fill tube on the stock manifold....that usually comes off the driver side near the front. |

Oh you know I'm in :)
I may need to go with a slightly shorter version to clear my hood...... so is it 1 inch higher including the filler neck cap ? or is that make it even higher? And I'l be honest.....I'm not to keen on the filler neck location either...kinda ruins the clean look of the top of the manifold. The other manifolds you've done just look so sleek and clean.....having the cap up on top just seems out of place. I'd love to see if there was another option to put it somewhere else... I'm assuming most of us will have to have one,... |
The one I designed for Bruning's Challenger.
Has the filler on the side. You can always do something like that. http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/s...vice/Done2.JPG |
Very cool. I'm interested....hood clearance would be a concern in my case. I posted a link on Lxforums for ya
|
I think the issue was the fuel rails.... I'm assuming thats why he put it in the back... I'd prefer it on the side too....as low profile as possible.
