LS2 Compressor

Is there a bracket that will allow me to put the stock compressor back on the motor mounted in my 69 Camaro? If so will I be able to use the compressor with a aftermarket air conditioning system?

There are TONS of different AC brackes out there. Where does it need to be mounted in relation to stock? And for the other question of if it will work with aftermarket AC, I think so. Have you called the company whos AC you will be using to see if it's compatible?

I havent called due to the motor being set on the frame this weekend. It was to low. It needs to come up but if it wont work I need to get rid of it.

Need to get rid of it? The AC compressor? I know there are many brackets to choose from. Maybe Vintage Air, March, Billet Spec, or give Frank at Prodigy a call. Lot's of options for you to relocate the pump.

The Stock LS2 compressor more than likely won't work with the stock bracket, unless you cut a huge notch in your stock sub. Or use certain aftermarket subs. Now the stock compressor is a cycling compressor and will not work with the constant style pumps the most companies like Vintage Air require. You can make the stock Compressors constant if you have a cycling compressor if you have a good AC shop. Vintage Air make a bracket to adapt a standard Sanden compressor over to an LS engine running a stock compressor or you can use a compressor off a truck as those are constant pressure also not cycling. But neither of those will just fit right in a stock sub.

Hope that helps
