engine dyno's
 
Me and a buddy was talking about dyno's and the question came up that are all engine dyno's the same. Do differnt dyno's give different hp rating's. If you use the same engine and test them on multiple dyno's will you get a multiple hp numbers.

Yes. Different dyno, different number. Even with the same engine on the same day under the same conditions.

are we talking 5-10hp or 50-100hp differents.

There are standard correction factors and SAE numbers. Properly tuned dynos should be very close no matter where they are located. Of course they will vary some but not 50-100hp unless it's an ultra high horsepower application.
