Vintage AIr Leak?
I've put vintage air in my 68 camaro. I have used the braided lines from aeroquip with their reccomended ends. I have checked all the ends to make sure they are tight, ensured that all the grommets are oiled and the system will not hold freon for more than 2-3 days. We have put dye in the system to try and find the leak with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks for any direction you can offer. John |
I will not use the Aeromotive braided hose anymore. Never can stop the leaks. I have no answer for you except if you want braided, get Gotta Show lines made.

Thanks Frank. I was afraid someone was going to say this. I'll have to think if i want to spend the money again or just use what came with the kit. Are you a dealer for gotta show? I see they have polished ends for the standard rubber hose. Can you give me a rough idea of cost on a kit?
Thanks for the help. |
The Gotta Show thing is better if you go direct as they need to crimp them up for you. I would send them your hoses and have them duplicated. I know you hate spending it twice, but the sad truth is it is what it is.
