1968 Chevy Camaro Pro Tour Project

I havent touched the car in about 20 months. Owned it for about 4 years. Its sitting at West Coast Autocraft in Cloverdale, CA if anyone is interested. They specialize in Concours/show cars and have done a few of Jay Lenos rides.

1968 Chevy Camaro Pro Tour project.
Original 68 SS Tux black with black houndstooth however all original parts have been cut and redone.

2000 LS1 Motor with T56
Speedtech subframe with air ride
Rear Chassisworks 4 link G billet with air ride
Fab 9 rear with Moser axles (shortened)
S&P mounts
Autokraft pan
Carbon fiber hood, trunk, header panel, cowl panel
Mini tubbed

Wheels are Feslers 19x12 and 19x9 and tires are NT55 5.5 inch lip on rear wheel

Body:
RS front end with electric headlights and billet grill
Rotissoried body. Full media blast
All new sheetmetal. Everything replaced except roof and doors.
New Full floor pan

Needs:
Air tank
Gas tank
Interior
All windows
Steering column
Wiring
Lights
Center section
Brakes (have only booster need everything else)

Im pretty sure Im forgetting a ton of things since I havent really touched the car in 9 months. I have about 35+K into this thing. I owe another 5K to the bodyshop(. Car will be painted black unless buyer wants a different color. The paintjob will not be a cheap paintjob. Bodywork will be about as perfect as you can get for a black car and the paint will be a 13 coat process.

I will try to get some new pictures up soon. For now you can click the link in my signature

But good luck with the sale. If you want to part anything out... I'll be happy to try buy some stuff.

how much before you paint it?..

I just updated my flickr with new pictures. ALso I forgot to mention the gaps are Perfect everywhere. The metal was either cut or more added around the carbon parts to make the gaps PERFECT.

Unfortunately I no longer have the money to finish it so I can either sell it or pull the car out of the shop and leave it in my garage for when I get some cash to finish it. :(

So color me DUMB.... what are you selling.... a project that isn't done - but you've already contracted for more work to be completed? What if I don't want it painted black? See what I'm saying? So is it 20K right now - before paint - what if I want to pull it out of that shop and finish it myself??

I was just stating that I only owe 5K left on the paint and bodywork which is cheap for the quality of work this shop does. Its not contracted. I already put about 4 times that into the bodywork. If you dont want it black then you can paint it whatever color or if you didnt want that shop to finish then you can take it somewhere else. Personally I would recommend them if you want a show quality car but there are cheaper shops out there.

Heres what they are painting it with though. The paint alone costs a lot of $$$$ so for another 5K someone would get a pretty expensive paintjob.

Spies Hecker FP 1002 (2 coats)
FP 1002 mixed 50/50 with Spies Hecker 8015 clear (1 coat)
75% clear and 25% color (1 coat)
90% clear and 10% color (1 coat)
Spies Hecker 8015 clear (2 coats)
pull the car out of the booth and let it air dry for 3-5 days.
Wet sand the entire car smooth with 800 grit and put it back in the booth.
Spies Hecker 8015 clear (6 coats)
Color sand (800, 1000, 1200, 1500) then polish

Does the $20K get the car as it currently sits (without the paint job finished) or with the paint job finished?
Thanks
Ray
