Employment opportunity at Ironworks Speed & Kustom

Well believe it or not I guess we are very blessed to be in this position of looking to hire. I currently have a very solid crew, but with our product line slowly coming closer and closer to reality. I could really use somebody who is a self starter and can think for themselves. Experience in this industry is a must. More then likely this person will come from another shop somewhere.

With all that this site has done for my business over the years I figured some body on here might know somebody or be that guy.

Thanks Guys Merry Christmas

Rodger

Rodger
What type of work is this person going to be doing? It might help in the search.

I kinda let me guys choose their disciple, Sheetmetal or Chassis fab or Wiring, Mechanical work. Whatever they are most passionate about I try to run with that. If your passionate about something, you will do your best work. I can use any of the 3. Another talented sheetmetal guy or Chassisfab guy would be great. I need a guy with talent that I can work with over experience. With major experience comes bad habits in my experience.

I'm not sure that answered your question, In my industry you take what you can get and see if you can work with it. The majority of my employees have come from out of town.

Thanks

Man, I tell you somedays with the headaches around here this would be the way to go! I just don't think I would want to move... I hope you find someone as I can't wait to see what would be included in this "product line"!

I know Rodger has been looking to hire somebody on. I think whoever ends up on the payroll will be definitely pleased with the work atmosphere there. This IMO is the next step he needs to take to put his company where he wants it. Ironworks has definitely set a presence throughout the industry. Good luck Rodger towards your goal of one of the top major players out there.

? I would look forward to seeing more talent working on my project.

Can you get perspective employees green cards? :unibrow:

Great news Rodger - the shop has come a long way and you guys are just scratching the surface of what you can do. 2010 should be a really great year.

Yeah I'm not really sure who opened what gate in the past few weeks, but our slow season has turned into 5 new projects and there are rumors of some stalled projects coming back up on the drawing board after the first of the year.
This winter busy spell is really cutting into my RC car racing hobby.

We can look into green cards for foreign talent, Yes we can.

I hired some new office personnel this week (My wife's sister) and have a Fab school student starting here on the January 4th.

Thanks, but I try to let our work do the talking. There are enough people that toot their own horn and really their work does not stack up to what you might think with all that bragging. I think we do nice work, But I don't need to brag about it.
