What flex plate for 700r4?
 

Not to vent too much, but I'm at the point that I will never take my car to a shop again. The shop that did my 700r4 swap either used a flex plate with some chewed up teeth, or shimmed the starter wrong. The original starter quit on me after a few grinding starts, and when I put in a new starter (properly measured and shimmed) it started fine for a day or two then started grinding again. When I got underneath the car the flexplate had some chewed off teeth. So anyway, I need a new flexplate and starter. Does anyone know what flexplate I need to go with my 350 (probably late 80's style crate motor) and 700r4?

What starter are you using?

It's either a 153 or a 168. With or without a weight.
