Car enthusiast from Toronto, Canada
Hello Everyone,
My name is Tony. I been browsing this website for a few weeks. I've learned a lot and hope to learn even more. I really love the pro touring Camaros. So a couple years ago, I bought a 68 Camaro and I restored the car pretty much to original but the rims. Then I went to a couple of shows and realized, I really wanted a 69 Camaro mini tub. A couple of months ago, I bought one. As you will see in the pictures. It's exciting to buy a new car and pushing it up the driveway into the garage. I am able to do all the work, thanks to this site and all the great people that post how-to. 69 Camaro Body - New full floor - Full trunk - New 2 1/2" mini tub wheel houses - Frame rails - Full quarters - New rockers - New tail panel - New doors - New upper dash panel - All new front sheet metal Drive Train - LS1 or 502 ram jet with a T56 transmission - Speedtech 9inch rear end. 5 inch narrowed with 370 gear Front Suspension - Stock subframe. Fully wielded - Speedtech upper and lower control arms - Qa1 coilover conversion Rear Suspension - Speedtech torque arm complete suspension with 9 inch rear end Rims and Tires - Rushforth fuel 18 by 8 for the front. 18 by 12 for the rear - BFG G-Force T/A-KDW 245-40-18 and 335-30-18 Brakes - Complete Wilwood 6 piston front and 4 piston back with 12.2 inch rotors. Paint Azure turquoise because it's original to the car but I really love black so I'm undecided. http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/022.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/025.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/027.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/029.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/030.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/032.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/033.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/034.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/035.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/037.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/038.jpg I got the car on a Sunday and I started right away! http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/039.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/041.jpg The previous owner tried to patch the rocker & quarter panel but it's all been replaced with new! http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/042.jpg http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...Camaro/043.jpg All comments are welcomed. Good or bad lol |
Welcome aboard! I remember dragging my 70 home on a trailer and pushing it in the garage not so long ago. Good times! Can you post some more shots of the 68? I'd like to see it too. Looks like you are off to a good start with the 69, and nice build plan too.

I like seeing a garage with multiple camaros. The 69 doesn't look to bad to start with and welcome to lat g.

I think it awesome that individuals like yourself see the jewel in the ruff & are able to do the work to make those visions become reality, keep up the good work.:lateral:

Wow....lot's of work. You have your original, do this one Exactly how you want it. Original won't mean a thing on this car. You have a good game plan. Those guys up at Speedtech are alright. ;)
