Flattened paint scheme...

The more I see cars in primer or before clearcoat has been applied, the more I think it looks good... anyone else think they'd like a finished project with flattened paint?

My 57' is flat black... I get ALOT of compliments, but truely, the only reason it isn't painted is because I can't afford it...

I was discussing this with a high end local shop - one of the guys has his "above the belt line" done "mat"... He HATES it -- says it's WAY MORE WORK to keep up than shiny paint.

I love the look -- but I'm the last guy to talk about keeping paint looking good... I never even wash the bugs off my car at a show.

I really like the look too , but my bike is a "flat" blue and the upkeep is different for sure. Finger prints, dead bugs, rock chips (those are a lot harder to blend during touch up).
I really doubt that I will ever have another "flat" paintjob.
