Flex joints after collectors?
I am planning to start the exhaus pipes with pair of flexjoints after collectors.
Any reason i should not to do so ? http://static.summitracing.com/globa...2-4216_w_m.jpg |
Nope - great idea.
Benifit is you can mount you exaust system a little tigher and the flex will be in the coupler not the exaust it's self. Quote:

I used these when I built the exhaust for my buddies Art Morrison chassis. Art chose to run the exhaust through "holes" in the frame... I used carpenters pencils as spacers so you know it's "tight" as exhaust goes. They're expensive but worth the effort I think. As stated already - they reduce the flex and torque applied to the exhaust system.

Old thread, new questions. I've seen these with/without liners. Is one preferable? Also what brand is best and where to source?
