A question on G-body C5/C6 Brake upgrade

I found this thread awhile back.

http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/bra...eferrerid=1864

Was wondering if anyone hasn tried this ( machining down the hub) to accept C5/C6 brake rotors for the brake upgrade, instead of tring to find those ZQ8 spindles?

Seems, In My Opinon, All one would hafta do is make a braket for the caliper.

Same thing right?

Would it increase the front track width?

It would be a cheaper alternative..........

its been done yes, all you need to do is take your brakes appart, make a bracket.. but you will be missing out on the geometryenhancement of a speedtech/ATS spindle.. i have a pair on my malibu and its a totally different car to drive.. and they accept the brakes without brackets... so your not really saving a big buck by doinfg it yourself...
