Z-06 test drive on the Speed Channel

I know it was a re-run from a week or so ago, but I missed it until last night.

If you have not seen it, you need to make an effort to watch it the next time that it is on. All I can say is Holy $#!%...that car is unbelievable!

I went the International Auto show in Charlotte last week and sat in a yellow Z-06. The car is much better in person and judging from the test drive show it is one cool ride.

Anyone here had the opportunity to drive one?

I drove one of the "captive fleet" Z06s when I was in Bowling Green, KY last September. I watched the first three trailer loads leave the factory that weekend. It was very cool.

I drove one of the captive fleet cars as well. All I know is that if I had one, I would be in big trouble. That car is so easy to drive. You can reach 100mph without even thinking about it. I was able to pull 1 g around an entrance ramp without much effort. I felt like the car needed more of an exhaust note or wind noise to help me realize what I was doing.

I agree. Even with the auto cutouts it needed to be much louder. I forgot to see what suspension setting I had it on but another impression I had was that the ride seemed 'cadillac soft' despite the great handleing - which is good. I needed a bit more 'feedback' from the car which I noticed the lack of right away, again maybe the ride setting was set too soft.

I would have to agree.. when cruising around town you don't feel like you are in a 500hp supercar.. you just cruise around like you're in regular car. but, whe you mash the gas watch out!! (with the asr off)..

If I owned one I could see many tickets in my future.. lol..

Oh, car is too quite.. would have to swap out the exhaust system..
