Any tips for a first-time attendee? Dos, don'ts, eateries, etc?

Jeff-

Hey Jeff you will love the show! A few of us usually go to a restaurant called Fishbones on Sat night. I stay over night at the GM Renaissance Center. There is an above ground train/trolly called the "People Mover" that goes from the hotel to Cobo Hall, and to Greek Town Casino where the restaurant is. A comfy pair of shoes is always good too as Cobo is a pretty big place.

Thanks Shane! I think we're at the Cadillac Westin. Will look for fishbones.

We will be there with a 33 coupe with a big Hemi in it!! 8 days to go clock is ticking. Hope to see everyone there.

We will be there as well with a few Camaros in our booth.

Anyone going for the Ridler award is not allowed to show any picture of the car being built or take it to any shows. Just ask Troy about that last year when he went with the Chrysler 300B and could not enter because he had the frame at the Goodguys Columbus show the year before. You will never see any build shots of the cars till after the show. Most guys building cars for the Ridler will build them in a private section of their shop where no one can see anything going on.

Thats not exactly true. The car can not be shown in Paint. Troy was disqualified since he had shown the build up of the Painted car on his website. Not because of the frame at Columbus. The B400 that won last year was shown in the Rodders Journal in bare metal and the issue was released to the public at the same time as the Autorama. Impression that Chip Foose built was shown in bare metal on TV and in the magazines before it won the riddler.
