345 35 18 Anyone running this rear tire?

If you are, please post what width rim you ran with a pic. I am going to shell out some dough and I want to make sure they fit well without wheel stretch or too wide for the rim. I have heard it called, probably wrong though, zero off set but what I want is equal spacing fore and aft of the wheel center.

This is a 345/35/18 on a forgeline 13" wheel. The outside to outside of the wheel is 14" and the tire outside to outside is about 14 1/4". Just stay within the manufacturers recomendations or they consider it dangerous. If you use a different brand of tire they sometimes recomend a different range of rim widths for the same size tire.

Funny, I have looked at this thread for I don't know how long and I just realized it is a camaro because of the link, When I initially saw your pic it reminded me of an older 911 and I immediately quit looking past the tire. LOL!!!

Have you driven your car yet? How do those tires handle/grip?

speedjohnston 02-07-2010 08:29 PM

No I haven't driven it with these tires, the car hasn't been completed in its new 'form' yet. They came highly recomended for the 1 mile events. I hope to try them out mid-summer.
