Pics of some custom gauge sets we have recently done

Had a little time this morning, cleaning out the camera and thought I would share some of these dash projects with all of you. Here are a few of the projects we have recently done for a few lateral-G folks.
To get right look and not break the bank, we are trying to fit our gauges in production dash panels, rather than do a retrofit or use an off the shelf aftermarket panel, has been working out well so far. The hardest part is figuring out a mounting system.

This one is for a 70 Chevelle, we took our 1969 series gauges, scaled the graphics to fi the stock dash, built a custom clock and created a one-off package that looks the era, with full stepper motor, backlit gauges.

This one is for a 72 Chevy/Gmc pickup. We used the original theme of the gauges as a starting point, and went from there with al new instruments. The customer is using a 03 Chevy with a Duramax diesel, so some extras like EGT, Boost, and warning lamps were added to make a completer modern set for the vehicle. The most challenging part on this one was the 38 wires coming out of the cluster. We even made custom pointers with the correct hub, and created the multi-level backlit floating dials.

Here is a 67 Cougar panel. The customer used our 1967 series as a base, them we built a custom tach and the gauges fit right inside the stock dash! worked out really well.

This one is a bit more mainstream. This customer wanted an 8 gauge kit, but could not find all of the parts in one kit, so we created one. He wanted the features of our 2020 series gauges but with a Metric speedo and 8K tach. We were able reface some Autometer " gauges for the speedo and tach to match our 202 gauges, we even used a backlit pointer and machined matching bezels for a matched look. He also wanted his company logo, we were doing new dials anyway, so it worked out really well.

Just thought I would share some of these, really want to let everyone know that there are options out there other than your off-the-shelf solutions. Let your imagination run wild. Next, I would like to do some 70-80 Camaro/Firebird panels. I'd even be willing to give away a set of gauges if someone created the gauge mounting patterns for us. Maybe a contest?

Mark

As a side note, we just picked up the exclusive distributorship for Faria Performance Instruments. really nice products, at really good prices ($369.00/6 gauge set), all made here in the states since 1956.
Here are a couple of sneak peeks at some rough proposals we started working on with them:

Yes they are really sharp looking gauges :woot:

Guys, i just want to tell you all how easy it has been dealing with Mark @ new vintage usa. He walked with me every single detail i could imagine. I got proofs and pictures of everything to see and confirm the design and layouts.

And guess what was the absolutely best part ?

Not a single request I made, was answered with; no we can't do that .

We don't make anything for any particular vehicle, but we do customize our instruments and install those in stock panels the best we can
