Just installed Sanderson BB2 headers on my BBC 67 Camaro
Hello all,
I thought I'd post some pics since there's not too many floating around of these Sanderson BB2 headers. I'm very pleased...they fit great and the overall quality is very nice. I ordered them coated direct from Sanderson for $475 (got the free shipping xmas special). They slipped right in, but I just got my car back from paint so there was nothing in the way...I had the a-arms, steering box and master cylinder removed. Still, I didn't have to jack up the motor at all and dropped them in from the top. I'm using repro 67 bbc frame stands and Energy Suspensions poly mounts. The passenger side is obviously easy to drop in, but I'm not sure how you'd get the drivers side on without removing the steering box...they really wrap around it. I installed the driver's side header first, taped it up to protect the tubes and slid the power steering box in from the bottom. Piece of cake. As you can see, the driver's side collector points outward from wrapping around the box, but that's no big deal to me...gotta bend up some pipe anyway. The driver's side collector is still higher than my oil pan and tranny...the passenger side follows the lines of the subframe perfectly and is invisible from a sideways view. Anyway, hope this helps someone...they're very nice headers and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! Very nice. The finish looks really good.

Very nice!, thanks for the pics. I just installed these headers on my 502 crate motor. Getting ready to drop the motor in the subframe tomorrow. I am lucky ikn that I live pretty close to Sanderson, you get a much sweeter deal in person if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the news.
I'd take a header that fits over a long tube that doesn't anyday, even if it cost a little power. |
