Attachment 23673Installing my vintage air gen II compac. I notice there is small black plug like things on both the heater inlet and outlet lines on the evaporator. They do have a small hole in the center of each, which looks like it could be something to reduce the flow. Can anyone tell me if these stay on or need to be removed. Thanks

Those plugs should be removed prior to installation. They will severely limit the coolant flow in/out of the heater core.

As Jason said, those are shipping plugs. Remove them
