Show me your A1000 mounting!!

Guys I'm waiting on my Sumped Rick's Stainless tank to get here for my 70 camaro we are doing. Anyone got any pics of details on where they mount or recommend mounting the Aeromotive A1000. Does the A1000 have to be below the fuel level, or will it pull fuel also?

Chad ==

They WILL pull vacuum - but fuel boils at vacuum -- the opposite of a radiator!
Mount it so it has a 'flooded head'.

That was my understanding also. Jut having a hard time trying to figure out where to mount this thing and the filters. Not a whole lot of real estate back there with the tank and watts link

I'm pretty sure you can mount that pump in the tank if thats possible. It keeps it cooler and less noise to.

Not a A1000 but their SS Pump with a Rick's sumped tank:

Mounted on a straight bracket bent at like 45* angle with bolts through grommits (to dampen pump vibration) mounted to a some aluminium channel that was made into a "T":

All tucked up in between the pumpkin and tank:

The Brackets being powder coated silver:

Also each of side the pump has a short stainless steel flex hose to allow for motion/movement.

Routing of fuel lines:

Even put a fuel cooler right before the carb on the passenger's undercarriage:

I have an L shaped bar bolted to the fuel tank straps with a plate for the pump and rubber backing on the plate. Here are some pics.

When using a self priming pump, how long does it take to prime? Just curious if it could be used as a second pump for boosted applications. IE Hobbs switch reads boost and kicks on the second pump to compensate for the extra fuel. Definitely more complicated than a single pump, but it means you don't have to run a single pump at the 135gph heating the fuel up.

I'm using the Weldon 1100 A pump for my car with the XFI. I'mm using it with their pump controller. If your gong to buy one check online I got mine for $275. I think once its primed it should hold its prime because it all sealed tight. The injectors should close and stop it from drainig back. If anyone knows different let us know.
