Smooth headliners
 

Where would i begin on trying to update my headliner from the bows to one that smooth? I have done everything in the interior myself and now i want to try doing the headliner myself as well.

Fiberglass or aluminum

Whats the process with using fiberglass? Only thing I can think of is laying a protective plastic over then car then making a fiberglass mold of the roof and the cut and trim to fit inside the car.

I also would love to know how to do this, I've got to replace my headliner and the old style just isn't going to go with the rest of the car. Someone really needs to start producing new style headliners for the Muscle Car Market.

it's easier to start with headliner from a late model car,find oversize liner ,maybe out of crew cab truck,cut ,trim and glue till you get it to fit, lay some fleee or fiberglass and resin,keep laying and grinding till you get it even and smooth it's alot of work,but easier than having a car on rotisserie and laying the glass in the car from scratch.

That is one way of doing it, You have to be very careful.We will do that only on a car that when we do mock up before it gets paint,Its quick and easy that way.
You can use 1/8 masonite for the center and make all the sides out of cardboard then tape it together and glass over it pop the back off and trim to fit.

The problem is cost by the time you make a mold and get them ready to sell you have to sell alot to keep price down,There is not a big enuf demand except the Camaro guys right now.I have looked in to it for a long time.Selling one or two a year for other cars is not worth the time involved,
