Door skin pliers

I guess even though only doing a pair I need to break down and buy a pair of door skin pliers so anyone got a recomm on which pair to choose? I will be using them on a Chevelle and have the doors skinned already. Thanks Brandon

I didn't use the pliers to install my door skins. I used a hammer and dolly (mostly hammer). A couple of tips to make the new skin bend easier is to strip all paint off (both sides), as well as score the inside fold just slightly with a thin grinding wheel. Work the bend slowly along the entire length with the hammer. I found the process to be pretty easy. A padded door stand from Eastwood is totally worth it.

Good luck - Ron

X2 .. I use two hockey pucks taped together as a dolly. It helps keep the dents down on the front of the skin. But I have also been using the STECK door skin tool. It is used with a air hammer and I gotta tell ya, with a little practice this thing works great. I also have a Shark that is awsome to . If your using the hammer and dolly make sure you get a door skin hammer it makes it a little easier..
