Has anyone seen or purchased a set of New Gen wheels? They have a modern minilite looking wheel with a more modern look? Driver inc carries them and want some of the pro's feed back from the site.

Now if I have a 68 Camaro with stock tubs and wanted to run 9" wheels in the rear what back spacing would I need ? i plan to drive it on alot of windy roads I don't want any rubbing . I plan to run a 275 17 " or 18" depending on price differences and style in the 9 inch rears. What about the Fronts you guys mentioned 8's are ok up front and I want lock-to-lock what about back spacing in the fronts?? Only reason is so many guys have different set-ups. I have the stock a-arms right now and stock discs in front.

Alot of people use 9.5 but I plan to use it alot on my canyon roads and maybe take some family trips and nothing is worse than a tire rubbing when you go through a dip or a turn. That is why I want to make sure prior to purchasing them.....

A 9.5 with a 275 is fine. If you run a 9" wheel do a 5.25 BS. You can still run a 275 tire.

back spacing
Man that scares the heck out of me I hav 3" lowering springs and I always see the 69's lowered to where the tires are under the lip withour rubbing but they are 1.5 inches wider overall but all the 67-68 guys have the back up a little higher and it looks like the lip is right on top of the tires. I just bought that plastic wheel tool from Summit and I will try to see how good it is. If anyone has done a stock tubbed car let me know I know even with the stiffer springs and poly bushing and the heavy duty shackle you still will get some deflection. Keep up with all the help you always offer guys

10's are do able on the 69's but very tricky on the 67-68. 9.5 is the sweet spot and if you are interested in the 3-piece version of the Lite wheel a good way to go. If you are looking to run a 2 piece version than your only option would be 18x9 or 18x10 unless we do a custom hoop for you. Feel free to give us a call. We are here to help!
