73 Yenko Camaro?

I need some help here guys! First, does anyone know if Yenko ever put it's badges on a 73 Camaro? If so , did it come with a big block? My guess would be, if they did, it would have came with a 350 in it. The reason i'm asking is my wifes best freinds step father-in law, who i have met this past summer, claims that his car is just that. I have seen the car just briefly, i had asked him if he was willing to part with it, he told me that he would be when he retires. Well low and behold my wifes freind called this past monday and said he will be retiring in Feb.2006 and she wanted to know if i was still intrested in the car. She said that he was moving from N.Y. to MO. next summer, and if I helped him move,he would work out a deal for me :willy: From what I could see of the car it has a fiberglass cowl ind hood, rear splash pan is louvered, behind the front tires the lower rear quarters are also louvered. The rear tail lights are much different than stock also. It has a 502 in it now, but he said he still has the original motor. Rumor is the car was in the gumball ralley twice.Does anyone have any answers?

i heard something about Don Yenko making some turbo camaros up until the late 70's... but i could be wrong, sounds kinda odd that is has a 502 now... most yenkos came with big blocks if i recall correctly.

Well they made some turbo Zs in 1981, but i never heard of any 2nd gen cars besides those.

In 70 Yenko did the Yenko Deuce Nova and then I don't think he did anything else till the 81 Turbo Z. Maybe do a gumball Rally search and see if the cars turns up there.

pics of the car would really help. It kinda sounds like a Baldwin-Motion 73 to me. If it was it would be a good find either way.

73 Camaro

When i get together with him i will take a few photos and i will post them.I do know that he does own a 67 Vette conv. with a prototype L-88 . I was told it was 1 outta 100 and is an aluminum block and heads, but the car needs alot of attention. Thanks for the help guys , i will do some research on this.

The L88 had iron block and aluminum or iron heads. The all aluminum block and heads is ZL1. He sounds like a BS'er.

Im looking for a 69 copo 427 convertible with A/C. I bet if he does not have it, he will know where one is.
