timing on 6.0L L92 head carburator MSD 6012

Hi everybody..

I have a 6.0L L76, that i have deleted the VVT et DOD, and have L92 #823 head on it. This motor i just finished to install in my 69 convertible camaro. I have installed a 54-469-11 comp cam inside whit new lunati dual spring kit, also have a GMPP carburator intake for L92 heads, and the MSD 6012 ignition box whit hookers ceramic coated headers and a good 750cfm carburator. Motor is now running but i dont have the MAP sensor connected ( optional).. I need to send a timing curve to my MSD box, whit no MAP advance. Someone know what is the best timing degre at 0, 1000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 and up RPM?

My car is used on street only, for the week end, but i like have the more power as i can! premium gas here have 91-92 octane!. This motor is supposed to have 9.6:1 comp, it's cam from a 2007 HD silverado vortec Max.

Yesterday i send to the msd this timing curve, whit all MAP advance to 0:

0 - 17 deg
1000 - 17 deg
3000 - 29 deg
4000 - 27 deg
5000 - 28 deg
6000 and up - 30 deg

rev limite 6900 rpm

Let me know you idea on it!

Thanks for your help!

Marco

I'm sure somebody on this site can help you. However I would post on LS1tech.com also. You will probably get a quick response over there for something like this.

Pantera EFI : 0=0

First, MOST IMPORTANT, make sure that you installed a
"0" mark onto your engine/front pulley/alt location is also OK.

Most often, the "standard" 60-2 target wheel/crankshaft register is off by -1.75 degrees (-=ADD).

Then when you are sure that your setting of (x) degrees is correctly "seen" by your timing verification on the MARK, proceed to tune your engine.

Myself, I would start with TWO degrees less than what you have stated.
